Sweet, Sticky, Spicy… and Completely Irresistible
One thing a lot of people don’t know about me is that I actually lived in America for a little while.
Not long enough to claim I was a local, but long enough to completely fall in love with American comfort food. Think stacked pancakes dripping in maple syrup, smoky barbecue, mac and cheese, and, of course, ridiculously good chicken wings.
There’s something about a perfectly crispy wing coated in a sticky, glossy sauce that just hits every single craving at once. Sweet, salty, spicy, tangy; it somehow manages to be everything all at once.
Ever since moving home, I’ve found myself recreating some of those flavours in my own kitchen, but always with my own twist.
And that’s exactly how these Peach Hot Honey Wings were born.
Why Peaches?
When people think of fruity wing sauces, mango usually steals the spotlight.
But peaches?
Peaches deserve so much more attention.
When blended and gently simmered, canned peaches become silky, naturally sweet, and almost jam-like. Combined with honey, garlic, lime, soy sauce and sriracha, they create a sauce that’s beautifully balanced; sweet without being overly sugary, spicy without blowing your head off, and packed with layers of flavour.
The peaches don’t scream, “I’m a peach sauce!”
Instead, they quietly add this gorgeous fruity sweetness that leaves everyone asking the same question after the first bite:
“What is that flavour?”
It’s familiar, yet completely unexpected.

The Secret to Crispy Air Fryer Wings
A good sauce deserves an even better wing.
For me, the most important part is getting the skin as crispy as possible before it ever touches the sauce.
That starts with drying the wings really well. Moisture is the enemy of crispiness, so don’t skip this step.
From there, I season them with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, a splash of soy sauce for extra savoury flavour, and one ingredient that makes all the difference:
Baking powder.
It helps dry out the skin as the wings cook, creating that beautifully crisp exterior without needing any oil.
The air fryer does the rest.
By the time they’re cooked, the wings are golden, crispy and ready to soak up every bit of that sticky peach glaze.
The Sauce That Brings Everything Together
While the wings are cooking, the sauce comes together in just a few minutes.
Fresh garlic, honey, blended peaches, sriracha, soy sauce, chilli flakes and fresh lime juice simmer together until they reduce into a glossy, sticky glaze that clings beautifully to every wing.
The honey adds richness.
The lime keeps everything fresh.
The garlic adds depth.
The chilli brings just enough heat to keep you reaching for another wing.
And the peaches tie everything together with their mellow sweetness.
It’s the kind of sauce you’ll find yourself wanting to drizzle over grilled chicken, salmon, or even roasted vegetables.
Perfect for Sharing… If You’re Feeling Generous
These wings are perfect for game nights, summer barbecues, family dinners or those evenings when you’re craving takeaway flavours without actually ordering takeaway.
They’re messy in the best possible way.
Sticky fingers are practically guaranteed.
Just don’t expect leftovers.
